Upon the sun-kissed streets of Rome,
Where fountains trickle in soft refrain,
A young girl walks beneath a dome,
Her footsteps quiet on cobbled lane.
The city’s bustle fades from her sight,
As she gazes at the sky above,
And wonders if love could ever bring light,
To a heart that once was lost in love.
A love she had once held so dear,
Now nothing but a memory past,
Yet still she wanders with no fear,
Searching for love that might last.
For though the city around her throngs,
Her heart still yearns for one true love,
The girl of Rome will keep on walking on,
And search until her heart beats slow.
