In the streets of Florence, where art and love do meet
Amidst statues and paintings, my heart does beat
The sun sets over the Arno, casting a golden hue
And I am struck with inspiration, just as if imbued
With words that flow like water, each syllable divine
As in the ancient language of Dante, I find my rhyme
The first octave is complete, now on to the second
Where love and beauty intertwine, a narrative so well-spent
I’m swept up by emotion as I pen verse after verse
Like an artist crafting a masterpiece, with passion so fierce
In this Ottava Rima, my soul takes flight
And love becomes the muse that guides me through the night.
In the streets of Florence, where art and love do meet
My heart is filled with love, and my spirit is complete.
