Chicken shawarma

Chicken shawarma is an incredibly popular dish in many parts of the world. It originated from Turkey and Greece but has since become a staple in many cuisines including Arabic, Indian, and Greek. This delicious meal consists of thin slices of chicken served on a pita bread or wrap with various sides such as fries, salad, hummus, and tzatziki sauce.
To cook shawarma at home, you’ll need to start by marinating the chicken in a mixture of lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and seasonings like salt, pepper, and paprika for an hour or so. Then, skewer the chicken and grill it over a low heat until cooked through and slightly charred on both sides. Once done, remove from the grill and allow to cool before slicing into thin strips and serving in pita breads with your favourite sides!
