Cryptocurrency Gasspas is a fictional entity created by artist Matt Furie for his new book, Cortex Vortex. In the story, Gasspas serves as Rato’s nemesis, a character inspired by a rat and also featured in Furie’s previous works. The two characters were further developed as part of ZOGZ, an exclusive collection of 111 original NFT illustrations created by Matt Furie in May 2023. Gasspas was revealed through artwork showing the cat character looming over rats (Rato and Wat) with a menacing gaze. This cryptocurrency concept is based on a fictional world, rather than an actual digital currency or blockchain technology.
