Ingredients (Serves 4):
– 2 lbs beef short ribs, cut in 3-inch pieces
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 1/4 cup water
– 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
– 3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
– 2 Tbsp sugar (or to taste)
– 3 Tbsp chopped green onions
– 1 Tbsp sesame oil
– Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, black pepper, garlic, and sugar. Add the chopped green onions and sesame oil to the mixture.
2. Place the beef short ribs in a large ziplock bag or bowl with a lid. Pour the marinade over the short ribs, making sure they are completely coated. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight if possible.
3. Preheat your grill on medium-high heat. Remove the short ribs from the marinade and place them directly on the grill. Cook for about 3-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
4. Serve hot with additional green onions, sesame seeds, and a side of steamed rice, lettuce wraps, or other Korean sides such as Kimchi or Potato Salad. Enjoy!
