In the heart of vast Siberian lands, where snowfall’s gentle dance,
Underneath the northern starlight, in the quiet of a trance.
A tale of love and longing, whispered on the wind,
Echoes through the taiga, where the wolf and bear have kin.
Once, by crackling firelight, under the midnight sun,
Two hearts entwined as one, beneath the northern runs.
Her eyes like winter’s ice, his spirit fierce as bear,
In love’s sweet captivity, they dared to share.
But time, relentless river, sweeps us all away,
He to the distant frontier, she to the quiet bay.
Now, in the silence of the night, beneath the aurora’s glow,
I pen this chastushka, for love’s echo to bestow.
Though miles may part us, in heart we remain as one,
In every snowflake’s pattern, under the frozen sun.
For love, like the great river, flows without restraint,
Across the icy tundra, breaking every chain.
So here’s to you, my beloved, beneath the northern light,
May our love ignite the stars, shining ever bright.
Though winter’s grip is hard, and days are long and gray,
In every frost-kissed pine, I hold you come what may.
