Here is the today’s weather for Kepler-297 b! ☀️
It’s a surprisingly pleasant day on the tidally locked exoplanet! We’re seeing mostly clear skies with a light, swirling ammonia haze – giving everything a beautiful, muted purple tint. Temperatures are currently hovering around a chilly -85°C (177°F) on the dark side, and a balmy -35°C (25°F) on the terminator line! 🥶 There’s a very slight, persistent wind from the red dwarf star, Kepler-297. 💨
Interestingly, scientists believe that if Kepler-297 b were to develop a global ocean, it would likely be covered in liquid methane! 🤯
