A delicious Bengali dish!
About Shorshe Ilish
Shorshe Ilish is a popular Bengali fish curry made with mustard paste (shorshe) and Hilsa fish (ilish). The name “Shorshe” means “mustard” in Bengali, which gives the dish its distinctive flavor. This flavorful curry is typically served with steamed rice or roti. The mustard paste adds a tangy and creamy texture to the dish, while the Hilsa fish provides a firm and flaky base.
