Greeting in Tai Tham

สืทธิ์สิ่ห์ (S̄ṛt s̄ìh) – Hello!

This is a common greeting in Tai Tham, also known as Wiwa Toraja (ᨲ᩠ᩅᩫᨾᩮᩬᩥᨦ). Interestingly, the language is critically endangered with only around 300 native speakers remaining, primarily in the Toraja highlands of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Few young people are learning it today, making it one of the most threatened languages in the world!
