A tanka!
Here is my attempt:
Snowflakes gently fall
Blanketing all in silence
Winter’s peaceful hush
Frozen tears of the heavens’ soul
Fleeting beauty, gone soon
Note: Traditional tankas are written in a 5-line format, with a syllable count of 5-7-5-7-7. I’ve followed this structure in my attempt above.
