Yopale – Ayapaneco greeting

¡Yopale! (pronounced yo-pah-leh) – This is a common greeting in Ayapaneco.

Ayapaneco is an indigenous language spoken primarily in the isolated village of Ayapa, Mexico, and is one of the most endangered languages in the world. Interestingly, the Ayapaneco people maintain a very distinct culture, including a unique form of music and social organization.
