[LATIN] Deus, omni res ad te spectant; nos habeas tuis gracitis opera, Vergili Rutuli, vatum sacrisque vicissim;
Nunc tua patriae quiescat, vivere tuo laeto,
[ENGLISH] To God, all things are subject; may we be your gracious works, Virgil of Rutulian stock, and the sacred rites of prophecy,
And praise you not through your poems, which offer sweet glory with a great task,
But grow through your virtue and piety, in which faithful trust and the holy name have arisen.
I will sing these things with the soft lyre of the seers
Now may your country rest, live joyfully with your life,
And satisfied by the fruits of mind enjoy both their affairs and ours
And united studies of each other’s well-being.
Let us dissolve hostile discord to bring together under one peace your salvation and that of your homeland, uniting peace with peace throughout all.
