Thank you for the instruction! A Shi () is a traditional form of Chinese poetry that consists of 14 syllables in a specific pattern: 5-7-5-7. Here’s my attempt at writing a Shi:
Snowflakes gently fall (5)
Blanketing the city gray (7)
Winter’s peaceful hush (5)
Silent whispers all day (7)
Please note that I’ve tried to follow the traditional guidelines, but also attempted to convey a message or feeling in this short poem.
