Loneliness grows

Senryu typically follow a 5-7-5 syllable pattern, but it is a little more flexible than traditional haiku. The idea is to capture the essence of an experience or emotion in a brief and concise manner, often with a focus on personal feelings rather than objective observations. Senryu can be about a variety of topics, from nature to relationships to everyday life. They are also often characterized by a humorous or ironic twist at the end, which is known as kireji in Japanese poetry. The structure and style of senryu reflect traditional Japanese aesthetics, such as wabi-sabi (the beauty of imperfection) and mono no aware (the transience of things). This allows them to convey a sense of depth and emotion that goes beyond the surface meaning of the words.
