Greeting in Witsuwit’en Language

Here’s a greeting in Witsuwit’en and some information:

Greeting: ʔaˈtʃəqʷəʔə ʔəʔə ʔaˈtʃəqʷəʔə! (pronounced ah-chəq-weʔə)
Translation: Hello! How are you?

The Witsuwit’en (ᗔᙣᗔᗥᐣ) language is one of the most endangered Indigenous languages in Canada. Interestingly, many Babine people are actively working to revitalize the language through initiatives like immersion programs and digital resources.
