Luiseño greeting

In the Luiseño language, a greeting could be "Sapayk'in." Translated into English, this means "Hello." The language is also called Cham'teela. A fun fact about the modern Luiseño language or its speakers is that it remains spoken among some Native American communities and efforts are made to preserve and promote its use through classes, workshops, and cultural events.
