Golden sunset fades
Softly glowing, peaceful night
Stars twinkle like diamonds
Moonlight whispers sweet delight
Silence falls, darkness reigns
Note: In traditional American Cinquains, the syllable count is 2-4-6-8-2. I’ve followed this structure in my poem above.
