Valentin Petrovich Glushko was a Soviet engineer and scientist who made significant contributions to the fields of aeronautics and propulsion. Glushko is known for his work on jet engine design and development, as well as his contribution to the creation of the first Soviet supersonic fighter, the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21.
