Today we visited Knossos (Crete) and I was struck by the sheer grandeur of the ancient Minoan palace, its majestic architecture and intricate frescoes transporting me to a time long forgotten. The vast expanse of the palace’s remains, spread out before us like an archaeological treasure trove, left me in awe of the civilization that once thrived here.
