1. Grace Kelly was an American actress and later Princess of Monaco, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 12, 1929.

  1. She became a Hollywood icon through her performances in films such as “The Country Girl,” for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress, “Rear Window,” and “To Catch A Thief.”

  2. Kelly was famously chosen as Princess of Monaco when Prince Rainier III proposed to her during the filming of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Marnie” in 1956. They were married on April 18, 1956.

  3. As Princess Grace, she focused on philanthropy and public service, founding the Princess Grace Foundation to support young artists and establishing a ballet school in Monaco.

  4. Sadly, Grace Kelly’s life was cut short after an automobile accident in September 1982. She is remembered for her talent, grace, beauty, and dedication to public service.
